Teamgenoot Lewis Hamilton ging er in de eerste drie seizoenen van Bottas&#8217; verblijf met de wereldtitel vandoor en liet de Fin kansloos achter, maar dit jaar zal Bottas niet zo kansloos zijn als de vorige jaren.<\/p>\n<p>Dat denkt althans Mika Hakkinen, die zelf tweevoudig Formule 1-wereldkampioen en groot fan van Bottas is. De oud-McLaren-coureur heeft enorm veel vertrouwen in het kunnen van zijn landgenoot. &#8220;Valtteri heeft een goede positie binnen het Mercedes-team. Hij is een geweldige coureur en ik ben er zeker van dat hij komend seizoen beter zal zijn dan ooit&#8221;, zo vertelt Hakkinen in de podcast <em>F1 Nation<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Volgens de Fin heeft Bottas alles wat nodig is om zich tot Formule 1-wereldkampioen te kunnen kronen. &#8220;Hij heeft alle benodigde kwaliteiten in zich en ook alle tools tot zijn beschikking om het daadwerkelijk te flikken. Hij heeft er hard aan gewerkt.
